Looking for Infant Gifts? Try a Gift Basket.
Sometimes it can be hard to find infant gifts for an expectant mother or a newborn baby. If you are in doubt what to buy, try buying or putting together a gift basket. They are fun and easy, but make great gifts that will be highly appreciated.
First, you will need a basket. You can buy one from a craft store, local retail store, or thrift store. Some people like to color-coordinate the baskets to the babyís sex if they can, pink for girls, blue for boys. Itís easier to use a wide, flat basket than a tall, deep one.
The ideas for the fill items are endless. You could do a mixture of just about everything and anything- clothes, diapers, wipes, bottles, blankets, pacifiers, toys, and more. Or you could make it a specific basket. For example, it could be all about one aspect of the necessities for a baby such as a diaper basket. Fill this with disposable diapers and wipes. You can throw in some cloth diapers, safety pins and diaper covers as well, if you think they will be used. Add in diaper cream, changing pads, sanitizer, and lotion and you have a cute basket.
Another good idea is a medicine basket. You can throw together a simple yet very useful basket of baby rash ointment, gas relief medicine, thermometers, teething gel, teething rings, infant cold medicine, nasal drops, and baby lotion. Hopefully, the baby will not need to use everything in the basket, but you may save a 2 a.m. trip to the convenience store by stocking the new mom up.
There are also many places and web sites that sell pre-made gift baskets. These are also a great idea, and can save you the time it would take to do your own. Whichever you choose, a gift basket is a great idea for an infant gift.
